Dosage and direction

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet. You can take this medicine with or without food. It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before using this medicine.
Patients with kidney disease, diabetes, epilepsy, or glaucoma should use ketotifen with caution under the guidance of their doctor.

Contraindications

Drug interaction

Central Nervous System (CNS) Depressants: Medicines like phenobarbital may interact with Ketasma tablet, potentially increasing the risk of sedation.
Oral Antidiabetic Medications: When taken with medicines like metformin or insulin, Ketasma tablet could affect blood sugar control.
Anticonvulsants: If this medicine is used in conjunction with anticonvulsants such as phenytoin or carbamazepine, there could be decreased seizure control.

Missed dose

If you forget to take your Ketasma tablet at the designated time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with your regular schedule. Never double up on doses without consulting your doctor.

Overdose

If by mistake, you consume more Ketasma than recommended, you may experience symptoms such as extreme sleepiness, confusion, excitability, or irregular heartbeats. In such a situation, inform your doctor about it.

Storage

Store Ketasma in a cool, dry place at room temperature below 30°C. Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its efficacy. Keep the medication out of reach of children, for their safety.
